A.S. Mink was born in the Netherlands but raised in rural Ireland during the 1970s. She has published a short non-fiction piece in Silver Apples literary magazine, sharing her experiences as a young immigrant living with her family in a traditional cottage in Ireland. Her work has been recognised in several writing competitions, including being shortlisted in the Mslexia novella competition with Part Three of her novel, A History of Love and Now. Additionally, Mink won the Grindstone Opening Lines competition on Twitter with the opening of her book.

A History of Love and Now is her debut novel. Her second novel is planned to come out in 2024.
